Three years ago today, a man in Wuhan China fell ill. He became identified as the first confirmed case of what we would soon call COVID-19.
Since then, more than 6.6 million people have died. Countless others have fallen sick, people have struggled with a range of issues well after they expected to “get better.” We continue to struggle with social, political and economic impact of the pandemic.
And a good chunk of humanity has since decided that this was all quite normal, somehow.

The last 2 decades have been a dumpster fire of existence. Horror has become normal. It's not okay.
@densaer I hope I have managed to teach my kids to be compassionate during these times. When I was younger I was taught.
Hard times make strong men. Strong men make good times.
I have to hope it's true. If it is we are about to raise a generation of Herculean humans.
@Adultxtraffic totally… the sense of “normality” we had (real or imagined) certainly is different now. One hopes it doesn’t make us indifferent to suffering even as the hits keep on coming.
