Three years ago today, a man in Wuhan China fell ill. He became identified as the first confirmed case of what we would soon call COVID-19.
Since then, more than 6.6 million people have died. Countless others have fallen sick, people have struggled with a range of issues well after they expected to “get better.” We continue to struggle with social, political and economic impact of the pandemic.
And a good chunk of humanity has since decided that this was all quite normal, somehow.
@densaer I have a teenage son who in his life so far has lived through.
- double dip recession
- annexing of Crimea
- ongoing USA and allied occupation in the middle East.
- COVID
- Swine Flu
- ebola
- trump/Johnson
- Russia reinvade Ukraine
- Brexit
- recession 3... The recessioning
The last 2 decades have been a dumpster fire of existence. Horror has become normal. It's not okay.
